MINISTER of Higher Technical Education Rajesh Tope has assured Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes (AMMI). to hold separate CET in State again. According to association last year over 12,000 seals were filled through the CET conducted by AMMI. The total intake was 45.297 and 27.500 seats were filled while 18.000 remained vacant. AM MI has started conducting workshops on practical business stimulation games. Teams have been prepared. In various part of state we will conduct the workshops so that industry, corporate will get good product, added Dr Khedkar.

This time State Government has permitted for State CET and AMMI CET as such CMAT would not be compulsory for MBA/MMS aspirants. With this intervention of the State Government this time, there would he improvement in MBA/MMS admission scenario. Also the placement scenario would improve as the economy is likely to revive fast. Amongst its various initiatives of AMMI. it has started focusing on improvement in teaching pedagogy. Dr Khedkar told medi-apersons. AMMI has intervened to conduct Business Simulation Exercises/Games for faculties of AMMI Member Institutes which is designed keeping in mind the impact of Business Simulation. In case of Business Simulation, the dynamic Business reality is depicted into virtual world. Here faculty participants, in a four member team, act as CEO. CFO. CMO and COO. They are exposed to ups-and-downs of doing business. Teams develop strategies and take decisions which impact their performance viz-a-viz other competitors in the same industry. MBMIA Nagpur is facilitating for the smooth conduct of this FDP Programme. FDP is being conducted on November 18 and 19. The venue is F.W. Taylor Hall. Dr. EB Khedkar has given emphasis on changing the syllabus as per the industry requirement also use of ICT for global education. He said Industry Projects and practical exposure should be given importance for the students.
