Chief Technology Officer

State Bank of India, India's largest commercial Bank having one of the largest IT set-ups in the country is looking for self driven professional with proven track record for the position of Chief Technology Officer.

The Role:

To assist the Deputy Managing Director & Chief Information Officer by managing Core IT infrastructure and handling strategic planning of IT This is a challenging position with tremendous opportunity to play a strategic role in technology planning, implementation and policy formulation.

The Responsibilities:

Handling the Core IT infrastructure, Technology Planning & application development, implementing new technology initiatives as well as preparing Technology architecture of the Bank to meet its projected needs and to remain technologically competitive in the market.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01.12.2013):

Age: Min. 40 years Max. 55 years

Qualifications : First Class Engineering Graduate or Master of Computer Application from a recognized University/ Institution. Post Graduation or higher qualification in areas relevant to the role will be given preference.

Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience in the field of IT business or industry. Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure and operations at senior level as well as demonstrated capabilities in Project Management and proven ability to lead large teams is essential.

Terms of Engagement:

The position is contractual. The term of office of the holder of the post shall be 3 years initially, extendable at the option of both the Bank and the employee.

The position is based in Bank's Global IT Centre, Navi Mumbai.

The compensation package would be based on experience and would be around Rs.60 lacs per annum but will not be a limiting factor for suitable candidate.
