BITS Pilani invites applications for off-campus faculty positions

BITS has been actively participating in the human resources development activity of industries, through its off-campus Work Integrated Learning Programmes (WILP) in areas like Software Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Power Engineering, Microelectronics, Engineering Technology and Management.
Applications are invited from senior academics and experienced industry professionals with an outstanding academic background, to pursue an academic career as Associate Professors / Assistant Professors / Lecturers in the following disciplines, working from off-campus locations at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune.

Disciplines:

Software Engineering / Computer Science
Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Management
Mathematics

Candidates who have completed an M.Sc. in Mathematics or Physics in the year 2012 or later,
with a strong interest to pursue an academic career in Computer Science / Software Engineering,
will be considered for appointment as Instructors.

Faculty members are expected to participate in one of more of the following activities:

Teach working professionals at industry locations or using technology.
Design educational programmes to suit industry needs.
Engage with the industry and foster new corporate partnerships.
Develop electronic content for facilitating e-learning.
Mentor students from the institute's on-campus programmes, undergoing Practice School in the industry.

Guest Faculty positions at off campus locations:
Opportunities are also available for suitably qualified industry professionals in the above disciplines, to participate in teaching working professionals, on a part-time basis, during evenings or weekends. In addition to a suitable honorarium, such an engagement will provide opportunities to interact with on-campus as well as off-campus BITS faculty.
