Nagpur to have National Law University
MAHARASHTRA Cabinet on Wednesday, cleared the decks for establishment of National Law University in Nagpur ahead of general elections. Eminem lawyers, political leaders, and academicians have been demanding establishment of National Law School at Nagpur for long. The estimated outlay for establishment of National Law University in Nagpur is Rs 204 crore and Stale Government has sanctioned Rs 7.20 crore for it in the first phase. The demand for setting up National Law School in Nagpur was first made. the then President of High Court Bar Association (HCBA). The then President of India Pratihha Patil also liked the idea in a function organised by HCBA. Supreme Court Justice also had supported die idea.
