Applications are invited for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 30.01.2014. Casa J.D. Fernandes Stationery Supplier, Printers & Book Binders, Opposite Municipal Garden, Panaji, are authorized to sell the prescribed application form @ * 20/- per set. Candidate can also download and use the application form available at GPSC website. The Commission does not take the responsibility of supplying application forms by post. Candidates should see the GPSC website for latest updated "Instructions".
2. Candidates shall note that the Application Fee is enhanced to 400/- for General Category Candidates and those for SC, ST, OBC, Physically Handicapped and Ex-serviceman, it is 50% of the Application Fee i.e. * 200/-.
3. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by the Commission.
4. The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, upto 5 years (total 10 years for SC/ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped person and upto 5 years for CFF. Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto 5 years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time.
5. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, this requirement can be relaxed.
6. Prescribed EQs are minimum & mere possession of same does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where number of applications received is large, the Commission will short list the candidates to be called for interview as mentioned in the "Instructions".
I. DIRECTORATE OF HEALTH SERVICES
1. Medico Legal Officer .....1 post (2nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate
qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also
fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the I.M.C. Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate Degree/diploma qualifications in the
speciality concerned, (iii) 3 years work in a responsible position connected with their speciality after post graduation in case of post graduate
degree holders and 5 years work after post graduate diploma in a responsible position connected with speciality in the case of post graduate
diploma holders, (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note: In case of non-availability of suitable candidate with the essential qualification at (iii) above, this requirement may be relaxed.
2. Senior Physician ......2 posts (2nd time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+6,600/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate Degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in speciality concerned, (iii) Work in a responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 3 years after post-graduation Degree or five years after post-graduation Diploma, (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
3. Junior Consultants:
(i) Anaesthetist ....1 post
(ii) Paediatrician ....2 posts (1 resvd for ST & 1 resvd for CFF) (3r time)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,600-39,100+5,400/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956) Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the speciality concerned, (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post-graduation Diploma, (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
II. DIRECTORATE OF SOCIAL WELFARE
4. District Welfare Officer ......1 post (resvd for PH) (3rd time)
Scale of pay: Rs.9,300-34,800+4,200/- Age: Not exceeding 42 years.
Educational & Other Qualifications:-
Essential: (i) Degree in Social Service or Social Welfare or Social work or Sociology or Psychology from a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) 5 years experience in Social Work in any Government recognised Social Welfare Organization, (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Goa Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
