Indian Institute of Geomagnetism is a premier research organization having strong research programs in Geomagnetism and allied fields. The primary research activities of the Institute deal with geophysical processes occurring (1) inside the Earth, primarily in the areas of Electromagnetic Imaging of the Earth's Interior, crustal magnetic anomalies, Palacio and Environmental Magnetism, Petrology, GPS based crustal deformation studies and Groundwater studies, and (2) external to the Earth, particularly in understanding the behavior of particles, fields and currents in the near space environment, with emphasis on space weather. Qualification	1)Fellow: A First class Master's degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Exploration Geophysics/Geology. Research experience of at least three years in the broad area of Seismology with emphasis on solid earth structure studies. 2)Senior Technical Assistant: First or high second class Master's degree in Physics/Geophysics/Geology 3)Superintendent: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in administration and related work in a Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute. 4)Upper Division Clerk: Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with two years experience in administration and related work in Govt/Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute 5)Stenographer(Grade III): SSC with minimum shorthand speed of 80 w.p.m. and typing speed of 40 w.p.m. Good command over English is essential. Typing test will be conducted on Computer. 6)Lower division clerk: Matriculation or equivalent qualification.Knowledge of computer operation and a minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English/Hindi. Typing test will be conducted on Computer.
