THE admissions for the 21 si batch for job-oriented certificate course on Rolling Technology/Steel making is being offered by National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology (NISST). The iastitute is established by Ministry of Steel Government of India, to promote human Resource Development and Technology Upgradation in Secondary Steel Sectorof Industry. The eligibility criteria for the course is 10 plus 2 with Physics.
Chemistry and Maths. Candidates with diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy or B.Sc. will be given preference.
The course is divided in three semesters of six months each and the students are required to report only once in a week for counselling and praciicals.
The Institute has tie-up with Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur for conducting praciicals. Visit to steel plants and industrial training/industrial projects are integral features of the course.
