Aadhar Card & LPG linking 2013 - 2014 


THE government has completed seeding of Aadhaar numbers in bank accounts of 40 per cent of the targeted LPG customers in the first two phases of the exercise.
Finance ministry data indicates that of the 2.23 crore LPG customers identified in the first two phases of the rollout of the direct benefit transfer scheme, Aadhaa r numbers of 90.% lakh such beneficiaries have been seeded in theirbank accounts.This means they can get the LPG subsidy directly intt) their accounts instead of buying the cooking gas cylinders at asubsidised price.
The government has already limited the number of subsidised cooking gas cylinders to each household to nine ayear. With the rollout of the DBT (direct benefit transfer) for LPG, customers will get about Rs4,000casheveryyear as subsidy in their bank accounts and will beexpected to purchase cooking gas cylinde rs at market rates.
Petroleum minister Veer-appa Moily had, however, recently clarified that the 12-digit Aadhaar number would not be mandatory forthesubsidy until the bill for setting up of the Unique Identification Authorily was enacted.
In the two-stage process, public sector oil marketing companies upload the cosumers data in their records with Aadhar numbers which is then linked to bank accounts of the consumers. The data also shows 1.29crore such beneficiaries have already had their records linked in the database of the companies.
Direct benefit transferfor LPG was rolled out in 18 districts from June 2013 and by October it was introduced in 79 another districts. The government plans to roll out the scheme in another 194 districts by J anua ry next year as it tries to reduce its oil subsidy bill.
There are about 14 crore LPG consumers and the government hopes that to/ directly transferring subsidy payments to their accounts, it will save Rs 8,000 crore to Rs 10,000 crore annualy. 
The under recovery on LPG stood al 532.86 per cylinder on October 1 ft. In fact, of the Rs 25,579 crore under recoveries reported by OM Cs in the first quarter of the fiscal, the losses on LPG amounted to about a third at Rs 8,518 crore. In 2012-13, under recoveries of OMCs on LPG amounted to Rs 39,558 crore while their total losses stood.

ICAD's Foundation-JEE course admission test registration begins

Nagpur University Emergent Senate meet on 17th Oct 2013

RASHTRASANT Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University is holding Senate meeting emergently on Thursday, October 17 to give approval to perspective plan which is indisputc nowadays. 
Board of College and University Development has approved the perspective plan on January 4.2012. A committee under the Chairmanship of Dr Baban Taywade was constituted. The first meeting of the committee was held in March 2013. A subcommittee under the Chairmanship of Dr Bharat Meghe was constituted. This committee has submitted its report in July 2013. It was approved in the first week of October.

Then University had called emergent meeting on October 12 to get the approval to the report. Some members expressed their displeasure over the plan. Finally. Dr D K Agrawal and Adv Abhijeel Wanjari were included in the sub-committee to finalise the plan.

CENTRAL Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for those willing to become eligible for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII on February 16.2014. A notification to thiseffect has been issued recently.
As per the notification published by CBSE recently, the CTET will be conducted on February 16.2014. The results for the same will be declared on March 21. 2014. The candidates may apply only on-line for CTET-FEB 2014 on CBSE/CTET website. The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS. NVS. Tibetan Schools, etc) and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories of Chandigarh. Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Daman and Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli and National Capital Territory of Delhi.
CBSE has made it clear that 'Confirmation Page' received after last date of submission, that is. November 7. will not be accepted irrespective of the date of dispatch. CBSE will not be responsible for any postal delavs/transit loss, it has added.
This time. Paper-I will be held between 2 pm and 4.30 pm on the examination date while Paper-II between 9.30 am and 12 noon. That is. Paper-II will be held in morning session while Paper-I in the evening session.
CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET. Schoolsowned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET. CBSE has made it clear thai qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
In accordance with the provisions of Right to Education (RTE) Act. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) had laid down minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. One of the essential qualifications to become eligible for appointment as a teacher was that he/she should pass Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). which is conducted by CBSE.
The rationale behind making TET as one of the essential qualifications was 10 bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process, to induce teacher education institutions and students from these institutions to further improve their performance standards, and to send a positive signal to all stakeholders that the Government laid special emphasis on teacher quality.

PATTERN OF CTET Feb 2013

THE CTET will be of objective type Multiple Choice Question. There will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of CTFT Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V. Paper-Il will be for a person who intends to be a teacher lor Classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (Classes I to V and VI to VIII) will have to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II both. DR BABASAHEB Ambedkar Smarak Samili is all set lo conduct the 57th Dhammachakra Pravanan Din from October 10 to 13 at Deekshabhoomi Nagpur. This year, the Samiti is expecting that around 10 lakh to 15 lakh devotees will visit Deekshabhoomi during these three days.
On October 10 lo 12, various devotional programmes will be organised while on October 13, Mass Buddha Vandana by Bhadant Arya Nagarjuna Surei Sasai at 9 am will be held. Thereafter, in the evening, main programme of 57th Dhammachakra Pravartan Din will takes place.
In the event, around 57 devotees from various countries like USA, Thailand. Nepal. Myanmar. China etc. will all end the event. Benoy K Bchl will make a documentary film on Deekshahhoomi and he will reach on 11 October 2013.

NEET 2013-2014 For MBBS, MD, MS

New Panel for making exam process online in State


AN EXAMINATION reforms committee so up by the Stale Government has recommended making of the examination process for higher education online. "The process from admission to the issuing of degrees should be made online under-graduate and postgraduate students, "committee's secretary and Diralor (Examinations), Mumbai University Subhash Deo said.
The report, which was made available online in public domain for feedback, was submitted to Chief Secretary Jayanth Kumar Banthia on Sauturday. Headed by State IT secretary Rajesh Aggarwal. the committee has also recommended a pilot project for starting technology-based examination in the universities.
