Armed Branch Sub-Inspector of Police (ABSI) for the Special Force s-10 (SF-10) Recruitment Details 2014

Application in the prescribed PRINTED Application FORM which will be ready at the eleven district SP offices/Police Reserve are invited from candidates both male and female who are permanent residents of Meghalaya to fill up 120 (one hundred and twenty) (111 male and 9 female ) vacancies in the Armed Branch Sub-Inspector of Police (ABSI) for the Special Forces-10 (SF-10) in the scale of pay of Rs. 14100-350-16550-EB-460-20690-620-27510 P.M. as admissible under the Rules from time to time plus other allowances and special allowances. Application forms will be available with effect from Is March 2014 onwards, through offices of all District Superintendents of Police and Commandants of MLP Battalions and Principal. PTS Mawroh Shillong on payment of Rs. 50/- (Rupees Fifty Only).

1. The last date for receipt of application is Is 1st April, 2014.

2. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained.

3. Only one application per candidate will be allowed.

4. On the spot temporary admit cards having names of candidates, post applied for and dates and venue of recruitment will be given to the candidates at the time of submission of the application forms. These temporary admit cards will be used for the pet. Final admit cards with names of candidates, post applied for, dates and venue of written test will be distributed/issued to the candidates immediately after scrutinising and scanning of application forms and generation of admit cards.

5. Recruitment process for PMT and PET shall take place only at 2nd Battalion, MLP Goeragre and at 1st Battalion, MLP Mawiong for which candidates will have to indicate their choice at the time of applying. Written tests venue will be intimated later.Personal interviews will be conducted in PTS Shillong and dates will be indicated later.

6. Incomplete and/or defective applications will be rejected summarily.

7. Candidates whose application forms are rejected will have to sign in the rejection register and their application forms will be kept at the receiving centres.

The training, duties and responsibilities of the commandos/constables of the SF 10 are high risk and strenuous which would need specialized training and equipment in the chosen field of operation like jungle warfare, urban warfare, controlling riots and disaster management and mitigation. Candidates who cannot keep up to the conditions above need not apply.

9. The application form should be submitted along with attested copies of the

following:

4 (four) recent passport size photographs, i. S.T./ S.C. Certificate - for ST./ S.C. candidates as applicable,

ii. Age certificate as per HSLC/SSLC Certificates/Admit Cards or their

equivalent certificate testifying the date of birth/age. iv. Educational Qualification certificates.

vi. Additional qualification, if any.

10. ELIGIBILITY details of Meghalaya Police Recruitment 2014

A. Age:

A candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 27 years as on 01.01.2014 with usual relaxation of 5 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to the SC/ST.

(1) Candidates shall have to appear for Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Endurance Tests (PET) indicated in the Photo Admit Card, Written Examination and Interview on the date and place at their own expenses.

(2) Only one Photo Admit Card will be issued against one application accepted after scrutiny.

(3) Any correspondence or queries in connection with this advertisement should be made only to the Member Secretary of the Central Selection Board, i.e. Principal, PTS, Golflinks, Shillong.

(4) Based on the total marks secured by candidates in the written tests and Interviews taken together, the rank list will be finalized and the result will be published accordingly, in the order of merit.

(5) Provisional appointment will be given in order of merit as per Government Reservation Policy on recruitment, subject to Medical fitness and satisfactory verification of character and antecedents.

(6) DETAILED MEDICAL TESTS WILL BE CONDUCTED FOR THOSE SELECTED BEFORE THEY ARE APPOINTED.

(7) On completion of Basic Training, they will be posted to any unit of Meghalaya Police anywhere in the state or outside.

(11) CANVASSING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY WILL DISQUALIFY A CANDIDATE AND ANY CANDIDATE FOUND OFFERING BRIBE TO ANYONE INVOLVED IN THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS OR IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY SHALL BE DISQUALIFIED AND/OR BE PROSECUTED.
